Work Description:
Artist statement: I am an American realist, a researcher and a bridge builder looking to connect people to a larger community through storytelling. The effects of a global pandemic leading the world to become more digital, my current research lies in the intersection between technology and the natural world. I am looking towards points of extraction that are redefining the rural landscape. This has heightened an augmented reality that overlaps the virtual and the physical. It has strengthened my interest in this symbiosis between humans and machines. Data surveillance becomes a new digital labor market and the cost of access to the network. I am currently studying these platforms to understand their relationship with the world, ecology and the neo-human identity.
