Work Description:
Pimpinella anisum, commonly called aniseed or rarely anix, is an herbaceous, flowering plant in the Apiaceae family. Anise can be recognized by it's white, clustered flowers and it's sweet and spice aroma. Anise is known for its licorice flavor. Anise is medically used for an upset stomach, "runny noses," intestinal gas, and as an appetite stimulant.
