Work Description:
The subsidiary buildings are part of the Xiantong Monastery, but Pusading is a separate temple complex about 1,000 meters away. Pusading was originally a Buddhist temple, but it was converted to a lamasery in the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Shunzhi Emperor, Shizu (1644-1661). It is the chief temple of the lamaseries of Mt. Wutai. The temple was first built in Northern Wei, and it received extensive renovations from 1952 to 1955.
