Work Creator notes (display):
Marcella is an artist from Philadelphia currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Since September of 2019, she has been growing a body of work about mankind’s war against the natural world, especially his devastating impact on the ocean and the conquest of female bodies. Thus far this has taken the form of collage, assemblage, mosaic, alternative photographic processes, underwater video, and quilting. Materials include credit cards, puffy paint, holograms, glow-in-the-dark pigment, store-bought fabric, cyanotype, seafood cookbooks, googly eyes, video stills, and Instagram posts.
