Exterior view of Taktsang Palphug Monastery. Taktsang was originally built by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye in the 17th century, though the site suffered a number of fires over the years. The most devastating fires occurred in 1958 and 1998, the latter of which caused an almost total loss of this temple. It was rebuilt and reopened to pilgrims and visitors in 2005.

THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO SUPPLIES THE SOFTWARE WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
